The District Boracay Privacy Policy
The District Boracay is committed to protecting all personal information received from guests. This Privacy Policy explains how information is being collected and used subsequently. Collection, use, and retention of data is limited to specific information required to legally administer our business and services. To confirm the identity of guests, we will require guests a copy of their government-issued identification card upon check-in (with information such as birthday, address, and signature) to verify if the information matches with that of our records. The information is required to create an audit trail of the booking and its handling thereof. Any correspondence/information (i.e. guests’ preference, email address, birthday, special requests, etc), may be kept and added to the guest’s portfolio, for reference in their future booking/s.
The District Boracay may also provide links to other websites for marketing purposes. Visiting of these third-party websites is at your own discretion.

INFORMATION COLLECTION
Guests will be required to provide some personal information that are necessary in order for the hotel to process the reservation and facilitate special request/s related to the booking. These personal data may include (but not limited to) the following:
- Full name of guest/s
- Address
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Gender
- Birth date
- Valid Government ID (i.e. Passport)
- Flight / Travel Details
- Credit card information such as cardholder’s name, credit card number, and expiry date (in case of terminal downtime) to process payment
Other information necessary to facilitate special requests on hotel arrangements (like authorized person/s who may contact them through the hotel’s official hotlines), preference on inclusion in various marketing programs (i.e. eblasts, loyalty program), and corporate affiliations/details like designation/email address/contact number (in cases of corporate accounts, vendors, and other individuals we are in business with) may be requested from guest.
Collection of said data will be used to facilitate the following:

- To properly communicate to the guest all relevant information related to their booking and other hotel offerings that they may be interested in

All information received thru the hotel’s official platforms (i.e. website, social media accounts, emails, phone) will be kept strictly confidential. None of the information will be made available to a non-authorized hotel representative or third parties, unless required by law or for legal purposes (a supporting document of which must be presented).
USE OF INFORMATION
Information provided to The District Boracay will be used facilitate reservation, process transactions, for guest identification, and to add a personalized touch to some hotel services. Guests whose bookings are made through any of the hotel’s accredited partners (online or offline) will also be required to provide personal data for similar purpose.
For data related to payments, the hotel has acquired the services of a 3rd party online payment gateway provider who uses a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to protect all online transactions and ensure that confidential and sensitive information is encrypted and transmitted securely. This is being used in the hotel’s online reservation system in website, or by Reservations Team (sent to guest in the form of a personalized link with the details of reservation and amount due for payment).
A detailed list of all expenses incurred during the guests’ stay and billed to under the guest’s name/room is also recorded and consolidated in compliance with the hotel’s financial reporting requirements and in other regulations imposed by auditors and government authorities.
For banquet reservations, the hotel will be requiring the lead guest to provide personal information, list of guests, preferences, special requests and other relevant information related to the conduct of the event.
For spa reservations, the hotel will also require guests to provide some personal information like name and a valid government-issued ID for identification purposes. Information related to health conditions, allergies, and preferences will be asked to ensure that the treatment is performed under safe conditions.
All personal data provided by guests (as well as history of bookings) shall be stored in the hotel’s Property Management System, which is used as the general point of reference for all bookings. Access to all Personal Data is restricted and is only available for key personnel whose direct role is to facilitate guest reservations.
COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
The District Boracay uses cookies to remember you and your preferences, to track your visits to our webpage, and to facilitate your booking. Third party websites may use similar tracking technologies to provide measurement services for our AD placements.
FRAUDULENT EMAILS
The District Boracay’s official email address uses the domain name @thedistrictboracay.com. The hotel will never send an email requesting guests for their password, credit card details, and other sensitive information that are not relevant in the processing of a booking. In case you receive any suspicious emails from a different domain name, asking for sensitive information, please do not reply to the email or click any links and report immediately to reservations@thedistrictboracay.com. If you believe that your personal or financial information has been compromised, we recommend that you alert your credit card company, check for any unauthorized transactions as well as change your password.
Likewise, all inquiries, reservations, and bookings are processed thru the hotel’s online reservation system linked in its official website, and through the Hotel Reservation Team’s official email reservations@thedistrictboracay.com. While inquiries are entertained at the hotel’s official social media platforms in Facebook and Instagram, all bookings are finalized through email. The hotel will not be responsible in losses incurred due to interactions with fraudulent accounts/emails.
UNSECURE COMMUNICATION
It is important to note that while we protect all of the data that you are providing us, email communication may not be secured depending on how it is being utilized by the user. Please be careful when sending emails or making a booking using a public computer or devices that are not your own, as well as when connecting to public WiFis to send your email.
It is advisable to always close your browsers or log out of your email after completing a booking or communicating via email to avoid any untoward incident.
DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may disclose your personal data and information to our accredited 3rd party suppliers (such as: transportation provider, island activity provider) and to vendor partners who provide services that are related to your booking (including but not limited to: entertainment provider (acoustic/dj), administrative, telecommunication, bank) for the fulfillment of any requests / services you’ve availed during your your stay with us.
We reserve the right to disclose any personal data and information when compelled to do so by a court of law, by a government entity, or if we determine it necessary to comply with the law to protect our rights or property. We also reserve the right to retain information collected and to process information to comply with accounting and tax rules and regulations.
