The Lord knows how much i have missed Philippine massage and the world class spa facilities we have in our country.
Travelling most of the year has not been good to my body definitely. So one of my things to do when i get to the Philippines was to have a nice long massage. My maximum for a massage per se (not including scrubs or sauna use) would be 1.5 hours. I feel like more than that might be too much.
I was thinking when I land in Boracay island from my long haul trip that I would like to have a massage by the beach with coconut oil. My original plan did not push through when i found out the boutique hotel i am staying at had a spanking new addition to the hotel which is a spa, and that services would be 40% off.
So instead of the coco beach massage I had in my mind, I opted to have the Upperhouse signature massage at the District. I had written about the District hotel earlier. Again, I liked my stay at the hotel because the rooms were fantastic, the brunch buffer touted as the best in the island, and they had a lot of other activities you can do while staying at the hotel.
The Upperhouse signature massage was what I had and it was a lovely, relaxing massage using Hawaiian lomi lomi strokes. My therapist used her hand,forearms to massage my body. Towards the end of the body massage, she asked me if she could massage my face and I gladly obliged.Wow. The facial with head massage was literally sleep inducing. She touched the right points on my head that put me into slumber.
A much needed nap I must say as I had just come from a long haul flight from North America. When in Boracay, book this massage. I guarantee that you will love it as much as i did!
