The District Boracay is one of the island’s best places to stay. This luxury boutique resort is quite popular for its celebrity-worthy accommodations and high guest review ratings.

If you are walking along White Beach in Boracay, it’s pretty hard not to notice the eye-catching grand entrance of The District Boracay. This luxury boutique resort is quite popular for its celebrity-worthy accommodations and high guest review ratings.

The District lived up to expectations when I stayed there on a recent summer trip to Boracay. The resort had done many things right by providing a central beachfront location in Station 2, relaxed modern contemporary vibe, attentive service, well-appointed accommodations, and a memorable dining experience. You could probably already tell from the photos I’ve posted below but the thing that I loved the most about staying at The District was the luxuriating view of Boracay’s gorgeous White Beach from the comfort of their rooftop lounge bar.

The District Experience

My friends and I were picked-up in Caticlan and ferried to their property by the resort staff. Since I traveled by land from Iloilo, I arranged to meet up at Caticlan Jetty Port. They offered free transfers from Caticlan airport or jetty port. Getting to The District required a short walk from Boracay’s main road since they’re located right at the beachfront. The resort stands in Station 2 between D’Mall and Station 1, this area is the central part of White Beach.

After our welcome and check-in at the reception, we caught a first glimpse of our room — The District’s Deluxe Room, the most basic room they offered. Our room was located on the third floor of the main building. Styled in warm contemporary design, the air-con room had two comfy queen-sized beds and well-appointed with amenities expected in a first class accommodation including a large screen cable TV, coffee&tea tray, refrigerated minibar, writing desk, and T&B. My favorite part of the room was the verandah with a nice poolside view.

Toilet and Bath with hot&cold shower, hairdryer, toiletry and personal care kits. To be honest, the layout of their T&B felt somewhat awkward. That was the only misgiving I have about the room.

During our stay, we requested a tour of the property including other rooms they offered. For a more exclusive feel, I recommend taking the rooms in the back building if they are available.

Star Lounge Experience

Now, on to my favorite part of the whole The District Experience. Located on the second floor and roof deck, The Star Lounge was where we enjoyed a glorious view of White Beach away from the crowds. For dinner, we had a very satisfying 4-course meal offered on their grill menu set and then tried their special Meduse Sisha while having drinks under the moonlight. On the second level, they serve their breakfast and brunch buffet, which is complimentary to resort guests.

The District Boracay Perks

If you want to relax, the resort has beachfront lounge chairs along White Beach offered exclusively for its guests. They also have a nice swimming pool with sun loungers.

One of the major perks of staying at The District Boracay is the feeling of exclusivity since its a small resort with only about 40+ rooms. I’ve nothing but good things to say about the staff’s excellent and attentive service.
