Hotel employees are normally the ones on the receiving end of thank you notes. As we celebrate the World Gratitude Day on September 21, allow us to thank our guests who’ve made an impact in our lives.

Stephanie Berango (Reservations Associate)

After years of corresponding via email, I finally had the chance to meet with one of our loyal guests last September during the Philippine Travel Mart.  During the chance meeting, he thanked me for all the memorable holidays he and his family had at the resort. Truth is, it is I who have more to thank for. Appreciative guests make our work so much more delightful. It makes me more excited to assist our guests in planning their holiday. Thanks, Atty. Bella, it was nice to finally meet you!

Eve Lasara (Team Leader – Front Office)

It has become a customary practice for all of us at the Front Desk to familiarize ourselves with our guests – most especially with their names. In my four years at The District Boracay, I always see our guests’ eyes lighten up whenever I address them with their name – instead of just Sir or Ma’am. There are times when they would also call us by our name. I am genuinely thankful for all of them who’ve made every check-in like a homecoming and every check-out like a send-off for a family member.

Jude Lopez (Beach Attendant)

My days are spent looking after our guests at the beach – their belongings included – and in ensuring that they are comfortable and safe all the time. There are times when I’d offer to move the parasols and their sun loungers so they won’t get sunburnt. Sometimes, I am hesitant to ask if they want to have their parasols moved because I really don’t want to bother them. What surprises me the most is whenever I’d see my name (a.k.a “guy on the beach”) on our Guest Feedback Form, being thanked by guests for the little things that I do. It really inspires me to continue to extend the most personalized service to our guests.
