Holidays are always a great excuse to skip our fitness routines. But that should never be the case since you can practically keep your healthy lifestyle wherever you are! Here are some simple ways how you can keep that routine without spending extra during your vacation:

JOG IN THE MORNING

Nothing beats an early morning run, especially if you have a powder-like, white sand beach of Boracay for a track. The tide is usually at its lowest in the morning, making the 7-km-long White Beach even wider. If your starting point is at Station 2, head to Station 3, then back to Station 1, then back to your homebase at Station 2. Don’t forget to bring your trusted running shoes – as jogging in the sand is a bit more challenging than when you do in a flat surface. Remember that the amount of effort you put is the amount of result you end up with.

HIT THE GYM

Take advantage of the free access to your hotel’s fitness center to burn those extra calories away. You don’t need a fully equipped gym – as long as the basic tools for cardio and for lifting are available, you are good to go! It’s not about the equipment, it’s all about the spirit and the will!

ENJOY WATERSPORTS

It’s like hitting two birds with one stone. You get to enjoy an exciting activity and work-out at the same time! It doesn’t have the be the super extreme watersports. A simple Stand-Up Paddle boarding for instance is enough to tone your arm and leg muscles. This is also perfect if you wish to develop your balancing skills.

GO FOR A SWIM

Swimming is definitely good for your body! It is a great cardiovascular workout that helps not only your heart but also your lungs. It can even burn belly fat while you’re having fun so including this on your list of fit-routine is a no-brainer. The bigger question is where you are going to do it. On the beach or on the pool? Now that’s a tough one!

EAT HEALTHY

Of all the tips, this is probably the easiest, and the hardest at the same time – especially since you are on a holiday. It is even harder when you have a buffet in front of you. But hey – every buffet has a salad station so this shouldn’t be a problem. In some resorts, the Chefs are more than willing to prepare a special meal for you based on your dietary restriction. The key here is to ask in advance to give the Kitchen Team enough time to plan and source-out the freshest ingredients!

Good thing, you can do all of these when staying at The District Boracay. One last tip though – make sure to book direct so you can inform our Reservations Team of any special request you have to keep up with your healthy lifestyle!
