To all our valued guests and industry partners:

As you may have heard or seen in the news, the province of Aklan is one of the many areas that were badly hit by Super Typhoon Yolanda. We are very fortunate and grateful that Boracay Island survived the calamity with zero fatality and minimal damages to properties.

Despite suffering from minor damages (a few broken glasses), The District Boracay remained operational throughout the ordeal to provide assistance to both in-house and non-guests who got stranded in the island. While we mourn for the hundreds of lives lost in nearby provinces, we are relieved to say that all our staff and guests are unharmed and safe.

The airports at Caticlan and Kalibo, as well as the jetty ports, have resumed operations to accommodate arriving and departing guests. The beach and the roads are currently being cleared of debris. Communication lines have already been restored. While electric posts are still being repaired, The District Boracay uses its two generator sets to power the whole resort.

As we face this difficult time, let us pray for the fast recovery of the whole nation and strength for victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda.
