The District Boracay joined the rest of the world in celebrating the International Coastal Cleanup Day last September 17.

Resort staff and management took part in the Boracay-wide cleanup activity spearheaded by Boracay Foundation Inc., a group that advocates the preservation of the island. Total trash haul during the event is 50kgs.

The resort is also set to conduct another clean-up drive on September 27 as part of its FunFest Week. Guests are invited to join the activity, which will be capped off by a sunset cocktail at Star Lounge (roof deck).

Aside from participating in eco events, the resort is also promoting eco-friendly practices such as use of reusable glass water bottles instead of plastic containers and use of various energy saving devices. The resort is also using solar power to supply electricity to the whole resort.
