Boracay is a major tourist draw in the Philippines. But before reaching Asia’s 24/7 island from Manila, one has to embark on an amazing journey starting from either of the two airports in Aklan: the Boracay Airport or the Kalibo International Airport.
Boracay Airport (MPH), formerly known as Caticlan / Godofredo P. Ramos Airport, is the easiest and fastest way to get to Boracay. A direct flight from Manila to this airport, approximately 50-minutes, is offered by major airlines such as Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines (PAL Express). From here, all you need is to take a short 5-minute ride to Caticlan Jetty Port, which will serve as your jump-off point to the beautiful island of Boracay!
The much bigger Kalibo International Airport, on the other hand, serves as the hub for all direct international flights from Korea, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. Distance from this airport to the port is 65 kilometers, which translates to approximately 90-minute scenic drive along the beautiful landscape of the province of Aklan. Vans and buses bound to Caticlan are available outside the airport for the convenience of all tourists.
To ensure seamless arrival and departure at The District Boracay, all packages are made inclusive of assisted airport transfer service (including the Environment Fee) from Caticlan Airport to the resort and vice versa from 5am to 6pm. Guests arriving from Kalibo have the option to avail the Kalibo Transfer Upgrade for a worry-free regular shuttle service to Caticlan. A night navigation fee applies to those arriving outside the regular shuttle schedule.
