Boracay Reopening Requirements 2020

A beach trip to one of the world’s best island is now possible as Boracay is reopening its doors to tourists. There are requirements before you can enter the island and guests are expected to comply. Effective October 29, 2022, tourists are required to be ready with the  following documents (soft or hard copy) when travelling to Boracay Island:

PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION

  • For local tourists: valid ID with Philippine residency
  • For foreigners / Overseas Filipino Workers / Overseas Filipinos: Passport

PROOF OF VACCINATION

  • For Fully-Vaccinated Tourists (any of the following)
    • Locally-issued vaccination card with verifiable QR code
    • Vaccination Card with Certificate from Vaccination Center with contact details
    • Vaccination Certificate from vaxcert.doh.gov.ph
    • Vaccination ID / Card / Certificate issued abroad
  • For Unvaccinated or Partially-Vaccinated Tourists
    • RT-PCR Negative Result Certificate (saliva, nasopharyngeal, or oropharyngeal); date of extraction must be 72-hours prior to scheduled arrival in Boracay, administered by a DOH/FDA accredited testing laboratory. Guest must observe strict quarantine after undergoing the test until the date of travel to the island. For faster processing, tourists are encouraged to get their RT-PCR  from laboratories that include a QR code in their result certificate. Falsification of any document is punishable by law.
  • For kids 11 years old and below:

ACCOMMODATION BOOKING CONFIRMATION

  • Hotel must be DOT-accredited, with Certificate to Operate
